1: Chemical giant SABIC showcased a portfolio of specialty thermoplastic materials for electric vehicle battery packs and power electronics systems at the EuroBattery Show in Stuttgart, Germany. These included a new LNP THERMOCOMP compound suitable for high-power, high-voltage electric drives and power modules, and a ULTEM resin inverter housing solution that can replace metals, aiming to help engineers improve system performance and safety.
2: SAIC MG announced at the Frankfurt Technology Conference that its semi-solid-state battery technology is planned to be first applied to the MG4 Urban model in the European market by the end of 2026. This technology, through an innovative electrolyte form, maintains excellent acceleration performance even at extreme low temperatures of -30 degrees Celsius, and improves charging performance by approximately 15% at low temperatures.
