International giants accelerate localization of production in Europe
CATL and German automaker Schaeffler signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate strategically on battery management systems (BMS) and all-in-one energy storage solutions. Schaeffler will provide on-board chargers and converters, while CATL will provide cell acquisition and high-voltage power distribution technology. The goal is to create localized electronic control solutions tailored to the needs of European automakers, reducing costs and achieving battery pack lightweighting through deep integration of high-voltage electronic control and power distribution.
